Mumbai

We are here in the busy life of Mumbai, and have had the opportunity to take time in some of the local red ligt areas and meet with some of the young children. These are children of women who are currently still in prostitution, and have been born as a result. The beauty is that they have all been created with value no matter what the surrounding coircumstances have been, and thats why they are wortth defending and fighting for. There is such complex issues that surround child trafficking and the whole sex slave trade, but one thing that is very simple is that we have a choice... a choice to step in and make a difference in the life of one person. It is very different to Nepal, but the basics of humanity remain, and that is that we are in need of receiving and giving love. We have 4 more days here until we fly out, and we will let you know all about them next time.

Nepal... one day at a time

Nepal is an amazing country which has been blessed in so many ways. Unfortunately in the midst of such beauty there is also deep injustice in the place of child trafficking. The people are incrediably generous through their lives and we have had the privalege of meeting with these people. On our second day we went out to a safe house established for women who had been either rescued or who had actually escaped from brothels in Mumbai, and made their way back to Nepal. Their stories inspired and provoked all of us, but it was their courage that truly humbled us. Their courage and desire to go back to Mumbai one day and serve the women still in the vicious cycle of prostitution. This is grace and passion in it's raw form.

We fly to Mumbai in two days, and the next update will soon after. Stay safe and bless you heaps.
