Hakani project

Dear Friends,

I have recently been made aware by a close friend of the injustice called infanticide. It is a cultural practise that allows children to be buried alive. There is a large amount of information surrounding the reasons why this is carried out, (and they certainly need to be taken into account when addressing this injustice) but the fact remains that NO child should be denied there right to life.

The abuse of human rights that is currently being carried out must be addresses, and it is the indigenous Brazilians that are leading the way. There is movement that has been birthed out of the cries of the indigenous people of Brazil and though they are recognised as the original custodians of the land, the basic human rights have been stripped. By going to www.hakani.org you can learn more about how to get involved in fighting for justice on behalf of these priceless people and being a voice for the voiceless.

Once you have looked over the website, please make your way to http://youtube.com/watch?v=st48Tdd9Sz4 where you will see the new trailer that has been released in lead up to a documentary titled HAKANA. It has been made in response to the individual request of a young girl by the name of Hakana that had been rescued after initially being buried alive.
